Council Work Sessions Meetings

Work Sessions are held on:

  • 6:30 pm
  • 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month

This is where the council and staff discuss issues relating to the City. The public is invited, however, they usually are not invited to speak.

Formal Council Meeting

  • 7:30 pm
  • 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month
  • Municipal Court Room

Council Meetings are very formal. Legal issues relating to the City are formally decided on. The public is invited and encouraged to speak on issues.

Council members are elected by the public for a period of 4 years. The Mayor and Vice Mayor are voted on by all 7 Council members and these positions have a 2 year term. Any resident of the City of Trenton may run for Council.
